Meet Tess

Tess Hammock began her political career with Congressman Austin Scott as his Agriculture Fellow.  After graduating from the University of Georgia, she started her work on the state level at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce in their legislative division.

Tess then joined Governor Deal’s office working in the Chief of Staff’s department.  There she made valuable connections with Georgia’s executive branch and continues to work closely with state staff.

Tess also has years of political campaign experience working on Meagan Hanson for House, Kay Kirkpatric for State Senate, and several other local races.

Tess is also active in her community.  She donates her time and resources to the local and state 4-H Club and served on the National 4-H Board of Trustees from 2012-2017.  Tess also served on the State Farm Youth Advisory Board which awarded over $5M in service-learning grants to k-12 education programs.

Tess’ favorite song is anything by The Eagles, John Denver, and the Allman Brothers Band.

Tess has one dog, Zuzu, and a niece dog, Piper.
